There is something about watching someone win.
We love hearing the story of a champion. That is why we are hooked on the Olympics, and shows like America’s Got Talent.
My husband, Carlos, and I watch the show’s video clips together. I look over at him and we’re both crying after seeing the backstories of the contenders. We can relate to their struggles and are encouraged by their endurance.
Despite the forces working against them, they keep showing up. They put it all on the line. They inspire us to cheer for them and cause us to reconsider the dreams we may have given up on.
Do you ever see yourself as the underdog?
- The one who wonders if she’ll ever make it?
- The girl who was told she has “too much this” or “not enough that?”
- Have you squashed the opposition or do you have trouble remembering even the smallest win in your life?
- You might be the tough-as-nails fighter who refuses to quit, or maybe you struggle to get started?
Even if you’re not the naturally-confident type, you can be supernaturally-confident knowing who you are in Christ.
You have been saved and empowered by the Holy Spirit, therefore–
- You were built for the best of God’s bounty.
- You are not too old, too young, too _____.
- It is not too late for you.
- Your dreams are alive because you are alive in Christ.
You are not fighting FOR a place of victory;
You are fighting FROM the position of victory!
Against all odds, I challenge you to anchor your footing and get a firm grip on the truth of your purpose… and keep climbing, girl.
Your attitude determines your outcome, and you have what it takes to come out on top.
I believe it’s time we being to see ourselves as spiritually ripped and equipped.
A woman backed by the Most High God
DOES NOT BACK DOWN.
