One of the things that I love most about living in the state of Virginia is experiencing its four distinct seasons – Summer, Winter, Spring, & Fall. When it’s summer, it’s hot. When it’s winter, there is snow. In the fall, the leaves change. When spring rolls around, it brings rain. But when it rains, it pours! I remember going to the park one day, and, boy, did it rain! I wanted to experience dancing in the rain. I just wanted to not have a care in the world…to let go and not worry about others.
So I stayed. I ran, and I danced in circles with my arms spread out wide! I began to sing praises, and, since no one else was crazy enough to stay in the park, I danced and danced until it poured down so heavily I could barely see in front of me! When I think about being saturated in God’s presence, I imagine being soaked; drenched – just like that rainy day in the park.
And when I think about the outpouring of God’s presence falling in my life – I imagine that it feels like that soaking rain…
His power and glory are everywhere. Immerse yourself in his presence today. Saturate yourself in Him.
Psalm 16:11 (NIV)
“You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
